More of a love story than a horse racing yarn. The book switches effortlessly from France to Newmarket, (sometimes too effortlessly!). The main character, an apparently naughty jockey, developed really well as he made decisions about his future riding career. However, not enough racing action for me which led me to just 4 stars. I will try another of her books as the writing is very good. A look at life behind the excitement of the race day.Ups and downs of the daily routine.Colourful characters draw one into the story. Comprar para otros This was appallingly poor.Never mind that the dialogue was nowhere near that used by racing people when talking to each other, all such books as this are unconvincing in that way, this dialogue was nowhere near the way human beings speak to each other. The plot was unspeakably weak, strained and implausible, and the experience as a whole was akin to reading a Famous Five novel. Not recommended to anyone over the age of twelve. geometry If you like racing novels you will enjoy this one Versión Kindle, Tapa blanda Captivating characters, great storytelling, keeps you guessing until the end. Reminds me of the original racing mystery author that I grew up reading, devouring his books one after another and the impatience of waiting a year for his next book to be published! Can't wait to start reading the next two books in this trilogy. Comprar para otros
